Cookie Policy
What cookies this site uses, what each one is for, and how to accept, reject or delete them.
Last updated
Cookies are small files a website leaves in your browser so it can remember something. That is all they are. They cannot run programs, read your other files, or see anything you have not given the site.
This page says exactly which ones we use and what each is for.
The short version
Some cookies are the only reason your cart still has things in it when you reach checkout — those we cannot do without. Everything else is optional, and rejecting it leaves the shop working perfectly well.
What we use, and why
| Category | What it does | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary Always on |
Keeps your cart, carries you through checkout, keeps you signed in, and carries the security token that stops someone else submitting a form as you. | The browsing session, up to 2 hours idle |
| Preferences Optional |
Remembers your choice of light or dark theme, and that you have already answered the cookie banner. | Up to 1 year |
| Analytics Optional |
Counts visits and shows us which pieces are being looked at, so we know what to stock. Never used to identify you personally. | [TO CONFIRM: analytics retention, typically up to 2 years] |
| Marketing & notifications Optional |
Remembers that you allowed browser notifications for order updates and new arrivals, and measures whether our own adverts reach anyone. | Up to 1 year |
Choosing
The banner on your first visit asks you. Accept all turns on everything above. Essential only turns on nothing but the first row.
You can change your mind whenever you like: clear this site's cookies in your browser and the banner will ask again on your next visit.
Turning them off in your browser
Chrome
Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies, or Settings → Privacy and security → Delete browsing data to clear what is already there.
Safari (Mac and iPhone)
Mac: Safari → Settings → Privacy. iPhone: Settings → Apps → Safari → Clear History and Website Data.
Firefox
Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
Edge
Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data.
If you reject the optional ones
The shop still works. You can browse, add to your cart, order and pay exactly as before. What changes:
- Your theme choice is forgotten between visits, so the site opens in its default each time.
- The cookie banner asks again on each visit, because remembering your answer is itself a cookie.
- You will not get browser notifications about your order — we will still email and message you.
- We see less about what is being looked at, which only affects what we choose to stock.
Our promise on your information
- We take full responsibility for protecting our customers' data.
- Your email address is used only for order updates and our own promotional emails and notifications.
- We never sell customer data, and never share it with third parties for their marketing.
- No third party has access to this data — we manage and use it ourselves.
- We take measures to keep it secure and to prevent leaks.
- You can unsubscribe at any time, and can ask us for a copy of your data or ask us to delete it.
